Karem Rodriguez
Senior Review Manager
Karem Rodriguez currently serves as Senior Review Manager at Florida Foster Care Review (FFCR), a role she resumed in April 2023 after initially joining the organization as a Review Specialist in 2018.
With over a decade of experience in child welfare and family services, Karem brings a deep commitment to supporting vulnerable children and strengthening families. Karem has worked as a Family Support Worker Supervisor with Healthy Families Miami-Dade, overseeing staff assisting families facing risk factors for child abuse and neglect. Her previous roles also include Court Liaison with Children’s Home Society, Child Advocate Manager with the Guardian ad Litem program, and Early Childhood Court Community Coordinator with Miami-Dade’s Early Childhood Court. In these positions, she facilitated family team meetings, coordinated services, and built collaborative networks among community stakeholders to ensure timely and effective support for families. Karem was also nominated for the Nurturing Futures Award in 2024 and serves in the Consortium for a Healthier Miami-Dade – Children Issues/Oral Health Committee.
Karem holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and has specialized training in the Growing Great Kids curriculum, early childhood development (ages 0–5), and motivational interviewing.
Passionate about child advocacy, Karem believes in a holistic, family-centered approach to addressing the causes that bring families in contact with the child welfare system. She is committed to being a strong voice for children in court and ensuring their developmental, emotional, and physical needs are met.
