Giselle M. Hugues is a Trust Advisor on a Wealth Advisory team at Northern Trust in Miami. She works closely with high-net-worth clients advising them on all aspects of fiduciary and advisory services. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Giselle was in private law practice and worked for another financial institution in their Wealth Management Department as a Wealth Strategist. Her practice focused on estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship administration and corporate litigation matters. Her private clients included individuals, families, business owners, corporate fiduciaries, and charitable organizations. Giselle’s education and work experience provide her a solid background in fiduciary and transfer taxation, administration of estates and trusts, and wealth transfer techniques.
She earned her B.B.A degree in Finance from the University of Miami, a J.D. degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and an LLM degree in Estate Planning from the University of Miami. Giselle is actively involved in several civic and non-profit organizations in the local community. She is a board member of Florida Foster Care Review, a member of The Florida Bar and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (“RPPTL”) Section, American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association, Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami, University of Miami Citizens Board, United Way of Miami-Dade Young Leaders and Women United, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation Southern Florida.
Giselle enjoys boating, running, hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
