Katelyn Barone joined Florida Foster Care Review in July 2021 as a Permanency Roundtable Specialist. She graduated from the University of Miami with a master’s degree in education with a specialization in mental health counseling. Her experience in child welfare began in 2016 with the Guardian ad Litem Program, first as a volunteer and then as a Volunteer Supervisor. Katelyn later obtained clinical experience providing individual counseling to children, adolescents, and adults at a community mental health clinic and private practice firm. Katelyn is passionate about child welfare reform, family-led practices, and community wellbeing.
