She brings to her post six years of child welfare, advocacy and volunteer management experience with the State of Florida Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program for the 11th Judicial Circuit. In addition, she has seven years of clinical experience in case management, counseling and group facilitation with children and their families. Melissa earned a Masters in Social Work from Florida International University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
